(My thoughts on the Mac Experience)

On the iPad (and iPhone)

Watch live TV and change channels anywhere (via a Wi-Fi or 3G connection)
Watch your EyeTV recordings
Browse the comprehensive Program Guide and view details
Start recordings back home on your Mac immediately or schedule them for later
View and edit your recording schedules
Automatically launch EyeTV on your Mac at home as needed

The EyeTV running on your Mac converts live TV to the correct format for streaming to your Apple device, ensuring optimal picture quality.

Try before you buy: free Web App

Live3G is a stripped-down version of the EyeTV app which enables you to stream live television over a 3G connection to an iPhone or iPad. Elgato’s Live3G web app runs in the Safari browser on your iPhone or iPad so you can watch live TV and EyeTV recordings anywhere. It’s free, and it’s a good way to test your router’s compatibility before buying the EyeTV app.

The free Live3G web app is available at
https://live3g.eyetv.com.

(My thoughts on the iOS Experience) - Video Out Support!

The Hardware

EyeTV HD

EyeTV HD has a unique dual-format capture mode that enables you to record in the iPad and iPhone formats at the same time. This enables super-fast exports to iTunes from EyeTV.

Fast Setup! (Impressed Here)

USB, Component, IR Blaster

Comes with all the cables and a remote with a battery!

System Requirements (I'm pushing it with a 2GHz Mac mini)
Macintosh: Intel Core® 2 Duo 2.26 GHz or higher CPU, Mac OS X v10.5.8 or later. We recommend Mac OS X 10.6.2 or later with all software and security updates installed.
2 GB RAM, built-in USB 2.0 port
Cable or satellite receiver with analog video and audio outputs (component output required for HD)
Internet connection required to download Program Guide data.

My Thoughts of the EyeTV HD

Overall Thoughts on the EyeTV Solution - Quite Awesome!
