Drawbacks
If a reboot is done outside of using an app on the Mac/Windows machine you will loose the JB apps etc.
Still will boot but your JB stuff just doesn't work
Upgrading OS is slower and more painful - instead of a 10 minute process it can take an entire day to return things to normal
More crash prone - so far so good

Have handy the latest IPSW (iOS download of your iPad) - either in Library/iTunes/iPad Software Upgrades - or do a Google search
JB using Install Cydia option
Then
Boot tethered only right now (this is how you will reboot your iPad until an untethered JB comes out)
